Soba no Kanda Higashiichiya
Minamimachi Street store in front of the station
This is a local stand-up soba noodle chain with five locations in Sendai. Commonly known as "Sobakan," it has become so familiar to Sendai residents that it's hard to imagine anyone who hasn't tried it.
The soba here is made with homemade noodles and homemade dried bonito flakes, and is delicious and cheap!!
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quick meal!!

Iroha Alley
While Sendai's cityscape is constantly changing, this alley still retains a strong Showa-era feel.
There are so many different kinds of restaurants and shops that it's impossible to list them all here.
There are shops selling everything from domestic brands such as ANREALAGE to second-hand clothing and CDs of Japanese indie bands, so it's a lot of fun to take your time browsing.

Sendai Mediatheque
Located along Jozenji Street in the center of Sendai, this complex includes a public library, gallery, and event space. It is a representative work by architect Toyo Ito.
As an architectural structure, its structure and design are very beautiful, and it attracts many tourists from overseas.
There is also an open café on the first floor. After a leisurely stroll along Jozenji Street, you can relax in the café and experience the comfort of Sendai!

This new store opened in 2016 following the closure of Volume One, a record store that had been in business for about 20 years.
It is a very unique space with a lot of attention to detail.
