At Aichi Prefectural Arts Center Large Hall
When vision is blocked,
How will the music experience change?
A departure from conventional stereo L/R systems
The latest sound system has been installed
It has been decided that a live concert will be held in the dark.
・This performance will be different from a normal concert, as it will be performed as part of the art program at Aichi Triennale 2019. Instead of performing existing songs in a normal band format, the live will be a special arrangement using laptops and other instruments.
・This performance will feature the immersive sound system "Soundscape" from German audio solution provider d&b audiotechnik. Enjoy a more precise sound image than a conventional stereo system.
・During the performance, the stage and the entire audience area will be completely darkened, and there will be scenes where the performance will be performed in "darkness". Therefore, evacuation guide lights and foot lights will be turned off during the performance. They will be turned on in the event of an emergency, but please check the emergency exits in advance.
・The entire performance is scheduled to last about an hour, and the floor lights will be turned on during intermissions. You will be able to enter and exit the venue during intermissions or when complete darkness is no longer a problem due to some other production. Please refrain from moving around in the audience in the dark as it is dangerous.
・There will be no break between acts. Please use the restroom etc. before the show starts and then take your seat. Please remain seated throughout the show.
・We will restrict the bringing in and use of smartphones, smartwatches, luminous watches, penlights, and other light-emitting objects that may emit light or be noticeable in dark places during the performance. Please be considerate and turn off the power and store them out of sight.
・You are free to wear any color of clothing. However, please refrain from wearing glow-in-the-dark clothing or sneakers.
-For this performance, more staff will be stationed in the venue than for regular performances, and night vision scopes will be used for security.
・For security reasons, baggage inspection will be conducted upon entry.
